I finished up my job in June and it was a whirlwind of goodbyes as we left the shore to move west to Marlton. It all happened so fast and it took me a while to process everything. My last day was Thursday June 30th and then we moved the very next day! As I looked back on my time at Goddard, I was overwhelmed with how much God had blessed me in that time. I know it sounds crazy to say that, because this past year was very hard for Todd and I. It was a very slow process making friends and work was very tiring and stressful at times However, now that its all behind me, I can truly thank God for the amazing relationships he drew me into this past year. Because of that, my last day at school was full of tears. I was so encouraged by how sweet all of the parents and teachers were to me and I am so thankful for every one of them. I miss my kiddos everyday and I hope to stay in touch with many of the families.

English Tea and cakes :)
Summer rolled on and in August we got to go on the trip of a lifetime. We hopped the pond to London for the wonderful wedding of Emily (Keiser) Manning  (Todd's sister) and Paul Manning. It was so much fun! Todd and I were so thrilled to get to spend a lot of quality time with his family, while at the same time seeing all of the amazing sights in London. The first leg of our journey to England was a megabus ride from Philly
to Boston where we stayed with the wonderful Chris and Katie Pletcher. We got a great tour of Boston, which I LOVE! It is such a walkable, clean, beautiful city and I am definitely excited to go back for more visits in the future. I have always loved New England and its charm and Boston most certainly did not disappoint. Next we took a red-eye flight *interruption:candid moment: okay, yes the flight WAS cheaper...and yes, it did get us there safely, but, it was far from comfortable and I felt exhausted for the next 4 days...end candid moment*. Upon arriving to England, I was whisked away to the Hen-Do (a British bachelorette party) where we went to English Tea (fancy, I know), saw the sights of London from a river tour on the Thames, ate dinner at a quaint Italian restaurant, and ended at one of Em's favorite pubs .

To keep it on the brief side, the rest of our time in Europe was filled with family time, an awesome wedding, and a sweet 5 day tour of Portugal. Photos coming soon! We really loved London and we look forward to visiting again!

Back on the home front, I am still searching for a job. Staying at Goddard would've meant an hour and a half commute...soo uhh., that ain't happenin! Some days, I love the time away from work. I get to relax, spend time with new friends, run errands, read etc... Then there are some days where I feel bored, frustrated and anxious. I need to continually remind myself that God is in control and all of this, even though I may not see it now, is for my ultimate good. Its been a long time since I have had extended down time like this. My college summer's were filled with trips, programs, and work, and last summer, after the wedding, I started working at Goddard relatively quickly. Sometimes I don't quite know what to do with the time. ( I know there are people out there who are thinking 'stop complaining Sacha!! I would kill for some down time!') Thus I realize that I should be thankful for this season and just chill out, and trust God. So that is my aim.
In the meantime, I am trying to flex my creative genes a bit designing some note cards...Thoughts?

Alright, I think thats all for today folks. More to come! I mean it this time ;)

Much Love,
Sacha
